This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our platform. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy. This policy applies to all users worldwide.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo (if provided). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google. Creator Information: If you apply as a Creator, we additionally collect your bio, title, skills, social media links, audience information, and Stripe payment details for payouts. Payment Information: Payment details (credit card numbers, bank accounts) are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers. Booking Information: Session dates, times, durations, prices, messages between Customers and Creators, and cancellation/refund history. Automatically Collected Information: IP address, browser type and version, device information, operating system, pages visited, referring URLs, time spent on pages, and cookies/local storage data.
We use the information we collect to: provide, operate, and maintain the Service; process bookings, payments, and creator payouts via Stripe Connect; send booking confirmations, reminders, and notifications via email (powered by Resend); facilitate video calls between Customers and Creators via Daily.co; display Creator profiles to potential Customers; respond to support requests and communicate with you; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; analyze usage patterns to improve the Service; comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We share information with the following third-party providers who process data on our behalf: Stripe (stripe.com) — payment processing, creator payouts, and financial compliance. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of payment data. Daily.co (daily.co) — video call infrastructure. Daily.co processes audio/video data during calls. Supabase (supabase.com) — database hosting and user authentication. Your account data and booking records are stored in Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure. Resend (resend.com) — transactional email delivery for booking confirmations, reminders, and notifications. Vercel (vercel.com) — website hosting and content delivery. Google (google.com) — OAuth authentication for "Sign in with Google" functionality. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
Customers can see Creator profiles (display name, title, bio, skills, avatar, social links, ratings, and reviews). Creators can see the name of Customers who book sessions. Booking messages sent between Customers and Creators are visible to both parties. Reviews and ratings submitted by Customers are publicly visible on Creator profiles.
Video calls are facilitated through Daily.co. We do not record video calls. Audio and video data is transmitted in real-time and is not stored on our servers after the call ends. Daily.co may process video/audio data in accordance with their own privacy policy. Participants should not share sensitive personal information (such as financial account details or government IDs) during video calls.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including: encryption in transit using HTTPS/TLS for all data transmission; encryption at rest for sensitive data stored in our database; secure authentication via Supabase Auth with session management; Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data; regular security reviews of our codebase and infrastructure; secure HTTP headers (X-Frame-Options, Content-Type-Options, XSS-Protection). However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
We use cookies and browser local storage to: maintain your authentication session (required for the Service to function); remember your preferences and settings; store timezone information for accurate booking times. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling cookies may prevent you from using the Service.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data: Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information. Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated personal data. Data Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format. Objection — object to certain types of processing. Withdrawal of Consent — withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or other jurisdictions with data protection laws, we process your data based on: contractual necessity (to provide the Service), legitimate interests (to improve and secure the Service), and consent (for marketing communications). We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g., financial records for tax compliance, which may be retained for up to 7 years). Booking records and transaction history may be retained in anonymized form for analytics purposes.
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Service or sending you an email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
